Age For RJS :

  • The minimum age limit is 23 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years.
  • The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC and woman candidates.
  • The upper age limit for the persons serving in connection with the affairs of the State shall be 40 years.
  • The upper age limit in case of widow divorced woman shall be 45 years.

Academic qualification :-
A candidate must hold a degree of Bachelor of Laws (Professional) of any University established by Law.

Scheme of Examination of RJS :-
The examination of RJS shall consist of an objective type preliminary examination, a written examination and an interview. The preliminary examination shall be objective type in which 70% weightage will be given to the law subject and 30 %   weight age shall be given to test proficiency in Hindi & English language

 

The main examination shall consist of following subjects.

Law paper I pertains to civil law and procedure and Law paper II pertains to criminal law & procedure.

Paper is designed to test the practical knowledge of the candidates in civil law & procedure e.g. drafting, pleading, framing issues & writing out judgments etc., in Civil Cases.
